Strengthening Accountability in Kenya’s Extractive Sector
KOGWG works at the intersection of policy, community rights and environmental protection to ensure extractive resources contribute to sustainable development without undermining livelihoods, ecosystems or constitutional rights.
A National Civil Society Platform for Extractives Governance
The Kenya Oil and Gas Working Group (KOGWG) is a civil society-led platform formed to respond to governance, environmental and social challenges arising from oil, gas and mining developments in Kenya.
Our Approach to Extractives Governance
We combine community-level engagement with national policy advocacy to advance transparency, accountability and community rights across the extractives value chain.
